It’s getting close!

We wanted to share some important information with you about the week of the wedding!

Wednesday July 1st Dublin Night Out

• We have reserved some tables on the balcony at Kehoe’s on South Ann Street, a classic Dublin pub, for 730pm.

• We suggest grabbing a bite to eat nearby before as it’s more of a drinking pub. There are many options around Grafton Street.

• In general, Dublin City Centre pubs are not very kid-friendly at this time of night, so you may want to arrange childcare.

Day of the Wedding

• Please arrive at Rathsallagh at 3pm for a 3.30pm ceremony start time. It’s most likely OK to arrive a little early to be sure!

• Those staying on site can check in from 3pm. You will be met on arrival by somebody from Rathsallagh who will get you to park near your room where you’ll be quickly checked in, leaving you with time to have a drink at the bar before the ceremony! Should your room not be ready, you can check in just after the ceremony around 4pm.

• If you are looking for somewhere to spend some time between venues, The Crookstown Inn is quite near Rathsallagh and serves lunch.

• If you are staying in Kilcullen and in need of breakfast, The River Cafe and Crean's are reliable options.

• Drinks reception approx. 4-6pm before dinner (speeches after dinner, then the band!)

• Rathsallagh FAQs. Note Rathsallagh insist that children are supervised. They may approach you if they feel this is not the case and encourage babysitters for this reason (this is entirely at your discretion). Kids need to be out of public areas by 1130pm at the latest.

• If you are not staying at Rathsallagh, please make sure you have found a way home by 330am!

Gifts

We don't have a gift registry. We don't expect anything at all, but if you would like to make a contribution to the honeymoon, we will have a Wishing Well on the day where you can leave a card. If you'd prefer to contribute another way, Michelle's Revolut is available via this link.

Night of the Wedding

• If you are staying in Kilcullen or nearby, we will run buses from Rathsallagh on the night of the wedding, at 1230am and again around 2am. Let us know if you are staying outside but near to Kilcullen - we can talk to the bus service and see about additional stops.

• If you are not staying on-site the night of the wedding, it would be best to book accommodation close to Rathsallagh. This is because we will be running a local taxi that will service the area within 10-15 minutes - it can be difficult to get further than that without driving. The taxi will run from 1230-330am. There are a range of bed and breakfasts available nearby - see the list below, or contact Rathsallagh if you are unsure.

• If you are staying in a local BnB and wish to join us for breakfast at Rathsallagh, this can be arranged - please let us know or contact Rathsallagh directly.

Night before

• Please join us upstairs at O’Connell’s pub, Kilcullen any time from 7pm on Friday July 3th. We have booked the room with a bar and live music.

• We will serve light refreshments - finger food like fish and chips, cocktails sausages etc. If you are staying in Kilcullen and want to eat something more substantial at Bardons or Fallons before the party, we recommend booking ahead of time as they can get quite busy.

• Kids welcome!

• We will run a buses to Naas (stopping at Kilashee hotel) at 1045pm and again around 1115pm to get everyone safely home.

• Local Kilcullen taxi - we advise booking in the days before if you can.

• Uber operates in the area but bear in mind it’s a small, rural place and availability may be limited.

Day after

There will be a debrief gathering at Daragh’s mother’s house in Kilcullen from 2pm on Sunday 5th. We will serve food, beer and wine. Mum’s house is beside the Applegreen service station in the middle of Kilcullen - the name of the house is Moyola. You can access the house via the brown gate right next to the Applegreen - this is obviously the back door, use of the front door being heretical in our culture.
